The Joint Action Group (JAG) is a multi-agency group that meets monthly to focus on the Safer Arun Partnership's priorities of anti-social behaviour and trust and confidence. It will develop a co-ordinated tactical action based on up- to-date intelligence to tackle hotspots and emerging trends. By taking swift action it reduces the negative impact that escalating problems can have on a community.

Where significant problems are identified, the JAG can form specific project groups to involve all relevant agencies and local people to discuss the issues and develop suitable solutions.

The group also develops and implements projects and initiatives to reduce problems around seasonal events such summer holidays, Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas. In this way the risk of problems around these events is reduced.

To develop longer term benefits in communities of particular need, JAG will promote and foster closer engagement and collaberative working with local people with the aim of identifying their main concerns, reducing disorder and improving their living environment to help them feel better about their neighbourhood.
