A good way to get involved with your community is to join your local Neighbourhood Watch scheme. Neighbourhood Watch is fully endorsed and supported by the police.

By developing closer links with your neighbours and looking out for each other it reduces the opportunities for criminals and those causing a nuisance in the area. This in turn reassures local residents, reduces the fear of crime and therefore improves the quality of life for those living in the area.

If you want to find out who the Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator is in your area you need to contact your local Police Community Support Officer (PCSO). You can do this by going to the Sussex Police website and clicking on the relevant area of the map, or by phoning Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999.
